In my spiritual belief, there are three states of being; alive, living dead, and dead. To further expand, alive is the state of being when you are corporeal and able to ambulate, think, do, and learn. The living dead are those that are no longer corporeal, but still influence the lives of the living. The dead are those that have passed to the ages with nobody living that knew them. Though they have passed to the ages, they can still influence living people via their works and progeny.
Sometimes in life we must endure times of sadness and loss. In November 2013, I had such a loss. My biggest fan and champion of my soul crossed to immortality. The person is my mother. She battled health issues throughout the last 25 years, with courageousness and valor that I have never encountered in any other individual. Her ability to turn tragedy into mirth astounded every person she encountered.
